Our Ingredient Story
Hey Curl Theorists!
We are super excited to introduce you to the Curl Theory Moisture Collection! As textured folks, we know that moisture is the foundation for healthy hair. Our prayer is that these products will meet your moisture needs and help you achieve your hair goals.
Ingredients matter. In the Curl Theory Moisture Collection, each ingredient is present for a reason. Some ingredient names may be hard to pronounce; others may have gotten bad reputations online, often without basis in fact or empirical research. Knowledge is power, so it is our pleasure to share the information below on each of the ingredients we use and why we use them. Now you’re moisturized and empowered!

Sodium gluconate is a natural preservative that prevents the growth of microbes in products. It also works as a chelator to help cleansing products foam better in hard water.
Polysorbate is a surfactant that helps break up oil and water, lubricates hair, and helps stabilize fragrances.
